Flux Monitors are rugged, large-volume chambers that can be used for measuring radon flux (the rate at which radon emanates from a surface, such as soil or granite). They can be selected with or without a stainless steel collar.
Flux Monitors are large-volume chambers used to measure radon flux (the rate at which radon emanates from a surface, such as a granite countertop or soil).
The stainless steel collar is intended for deployment outdoors in soil, whereas the plain version (with no collar) is intended to be affixed to flat surfaces such as a granite countertop.
Flux Monitors cannot be used in a typical radon test. They measure radon flux, and cannot be used to measure radon-in-air.
